Happy New Year!
This past year has been the most challenging year by far. I went through so many things that almost broke me, almost killed me. I lost so many things I can never gain back; time, friends, and more. I almost gave up when I had nothing to lose, no one to turn to and was lost in the dark. I never thought I could ever show my face again, I was dealing with a lot of mourning and self-hatred.

I’m still wide awake, the sleeping medication did not work.

teas
warm milk
medication
sound therapy
light therapy
meditation
diet change
24-hour sleep deprivation
exercise
relaxation exercises (i.e., breathing exercise)

I keep losing...
I lost yet another battle against insomnia. I have been attempting to change my sleeping schedule before winter quarter begins in January, but all I have managed to do is bring back my insomnia.
Last night I turned off all the lights, turned on my sound machine and attempted to sleep. It was 11PM. I was actually tired so I thought it would work, and it did…for about two hours. I fell asleep...

Awakening.
I can’t remember the last time I have felt this calm and relaxed. My writer’s block has been lifted and I am left with a wide range of material to be placed on paper (or a word processing program).
